Don't forget to look at the options going the LONG way around ?Check out the potential of going SEA-MSP-Japan-and onward and the return via MSP.Also going a bit further check on DTW (Detroit) - open up all your possibilities.JFK (New York Kennedy) would be stretching it but look at it anyway for a way out.If things look tough - try routing SEA-HNL and off line with a Zone Fare.Check the calendar schedule for Japanese holidays that may be troublesome. If you are serious about going come hell or high water check the return routing very carefully.Be prepared to buy a discounted revenue ticket (Fly confirmed for Less) or a Zone fare (refundable).I can't offer any further advice as I am not familiar with the Asian seasonal travel trends but do check the Delta TravelNet for loads starting now and watch how things develop. You can use the TravelNetfeature "Tools" to check a flight daily for how standbys and upgrades are cleared and seated.Hope this puts a new interest in your travel plans - Good Luck !
