WITH OVER 20 PLUS YEARS OF NON REV TRAVEL WE HAVE BEEN STUCK A FEW TIMES INCLUDING OUR LAST TRIP. HAS DELTA EVER CONSIDERED GRANTING A DIFFERENT PRIORITY TO THOSE WHO ARE STRANDED FOR MORE THAN ONE DAY.
Over a year ago a committee of several Delta employees met to discuss and implement changes to the employee pass program.This COMMITTEE was called "PROJECT IGNITE".When you log into the DeltaNet the home page has a blue banner bar at the top - - -Slide across the bar to "Employee Info" - - - Use the drop down menu and find "Project Ignite" - - -Mouse around to see what was done implemented accepted rejected etc.As near as I can read they came close to addressing your concern - - - but missed the mark widely !!!The only bone I can toss out to you if standby travel looks and is threatening then perhaps buying theFly For Less Discount ticket maybe the best answer if not Delta.com with a better fare.It is tough these days when the flights are full and you wanna hafta be somewhere positively and it is notlike the good ole days when it was possible.
