So i am the son of a delta pilot who is extremely experienced in Non-Revenue Travel. At the end of the summer i am taking my grandmother on a trip to paris and she has bought a ticket in the business elite cabin not i am trying to make it on her flight but if that does not work out i will go to another city to get there. Her flight is the 8:40 PM flight out of JFK. Now as i looked at how the flights are looking a few weeks in advanced i noticed on the airport standby list that even thought there are seats in the business elite cabin the non-revenues are getting put in economy i was wondering if anyone knew why they do this. now i would still go in Economy as my dad said once you fly in the lay flat seats you will not ever want to go back and sadly i have flown in the seats before. and my trip is on August the 6th.
